HART Hub Hastings Prince Edward: Tackling Homelessness, Addiction and Mental Health in our Community

Everyone deserves a chance to build a safe, healthy life. The Homelessness Addiction Recovery Treatment (HART) Hub-funded initiatives provide low-barrier services that offers hope to people who want help tackling addiction, homelessness, or mental health challenges. Through an integrated approach, our goal is to help people access the basic care and services they need to build a stable life.

Through comprehensive wrap-around care services, Hart Hub funding empowers us to enhance integrated care, outreach, and housing support for individuals across Hastings and Prince Edward counties. It scales up our community’s urgent response capabilities while providing coordinated access to services for people who are struggling with homelessness and addictions to receive treatment, care and recovery support.

When fully implemented, HART Hub-funded services will ensure that individuals with complex, overlapping service needs have access to immediate supports through brief interventions, while also offering connections to long-term solutions.

HART Hub HPE: A Collaborative Community Effort

In January 2025, funding was secured to deliver wrap-around services through the HART Hub Hastings Prince Edward—an initiative made possible by a successful collaborative proposal developed by a diverse group of local organizations and in consultation with numerous others, including individuals with lived experience and those who collectively work on the frontlines of the toxic drug crisis to address key service gaps in our region.
